Cold metallics demand grew in 2014, though unevenly, as various conflicts, finished steel export competition and economic weakness plagued a number of key regions. Both demand and prices fell sharply at the end of 2014, as pressure from low margins in key markets grew. Our outlook for prices has been significantly lowered, due to a significant change to exchange rates shifting the competitive landscape, coupled with a weaker demand outlook.
