The minority coalition of the Social Democrats and Social Liberal Party, which was weakened by the exit of the Socialist People's Party (SF) in 2014, has only a few months left in government before a general election this year.
The Economist Intelligence Unit expects a shift to the centre-right at the next election. In the meantime, the prime minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, will need to negotiate further temporary alliances in parliament to govern.
