Inflation is forecast to ease to 16.4% in 2015, owing to base effects and fallings commodity prices, offsetting a weaker currency. It will continue to moderate thereafter as currency depreciation slows.
Falling average oil prices will help to reduce the current-account deficit to 29.8% of GDP in 2015. As exports and aid inflows recover, the deficit will continue to narrow in 2016-19, reaching 23.4% of GDP in 2019.
