The Economist Intelligence Unit forecasts annual growth of 5.2% in 2015-19, at the bottom end of the government's target of 5-6.8%. Household income growth will be significantly below the rates seen over the past decade.
Oil output will grow at under 1% a year in 2015-17. From 2018 increased production at Tengiz and the launch of the much-delayed Kashagan oilfield will lead to an acceleration in output, which will boost exports.
