Divisions among the centre-right opposition parties put Smer-SD in a strong position to remain the largest party in 2016, although it may need a coalition partner. There is popular disaffection with all established parties.
In the medium term, we do not see growth returning to its pre-crisis levels. We forecast average annual real GDP growth of 3% in 2015-19.
Inflationary pressures should remain muted across the euro area in 2015, as a result of low international commodity prices and weak demand. For Slovakia, we forecast average inflation of 1.6% in 2015-19.
