Lebanon's government balances the competing March 8th and March 14th political factions, along with a neutral bloc. This inherent instability will make policymaking a challenge during the forecast period.
Lebanon's services-oriented economy will continue to suffer in 2015 from the instability within and on its borders, before a stalemate in Syria allows output to pick up over the remainder of the forecast period.
The current account will remain in deficit, but it will contract over the forecast period. Large capital inflows will help Lebanon to meet its external shortfalls.
