The mobile telephony market has grown extremely quickly. The number of mobile-phone subscriptions rose from 108% of the population at end-2006 to 145% at end-2013.
There are also several smaller mobile operators, which use the infrastructure of the "big three" operators. Competition is intense and has led to lower prices, particularly since the procedure for number portability was streamlined in late 2010. The level of competition will remain high throughout the forecast period.
