Oil and gas production is expected to account for 52.7% of nominal GDP in 2014, according to Economist Intelligence Unit estimates.
We forecast that Qatar's crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs) production will rise only marginally from 2m barrels/day (b/d) in 2014 to 2.01m b/d in 2015 and 2.25m b/d in 2020, assuming additional output comes on stream from planned redevelopment at the Dukhan, Bul Hanine, Maydan Mahzam and possibly Al Shaheen fields.
