摘要
The Czech Republic has a well-regulated financial market, which is overseen by the Czech National Bank (CNB, the central bank). The banking sector weathered the fallout from the global economic and financial crisis of 2008-09 without significant problems, largely owing to a strong deposit base. Financial services are forecast to diversify and grow steadily in 2014-18.
The financial services sector is a less important component of the economy in the Czech Republic than in other EU countries. In 2013 it generated 44% of Czech GDP, below the 5.5% average across the economic bloc, according to Eurostat. The sector employed 2.7% of the Czech labour force, less than the EU average of 2.9%.
