Government revenue will benefit from aid and economic growth. However, the fiscal deficit as a percentage of GDP is forecast to widen to 4% in the lead-up to the 2015-16 elections, before easing in subsequent years.
Falling oil and cocoa prices, coupled within high capital imports, will cause the current-account deficit as a share of GDP to widen to 77% in 2016, before narrowing thereafter as export growth picks up.
