A new red-green centre-left coalition government consisting of the Social Democratic Party (SAP) and the Green Party will take office following the general election in September 2014.
Fiscal responsibility remains central to the new government's policy proposals, but it also plans to reverse some of the previous government's tax-cuts in order to fund higher spending.
Real GDP growth picked up to 1.6% in 2013 and an estimated 2% in 2014. We project an acceleration to 24% in 2015 and average growth of 2.3% in 2016-19.
