We expect real GDP to expand by 6.3% in 2015, led by strong growth in private consumption. The economy will then expand by an average of 5.9% a year in the remainder of the forecast period.
As a result of substantial inflows of remittances from overseas Filipino workers, the current account will remain in surplus during the forecast period, at the equivalent of 2.1% of GDP on average.
