This yearbook, Volume 80 Exploration, reviews 2009 and was issued in February, 2015. Oil and gas field production for 2009 is listed in the Yearbook Volume 80 Production. This publication was first issued in 1930 by the Oil Scouts Association which had been organized six years earlier in 1924.
Special recognition is given to the companies whose management has supported and encouraged the operation of scout checks, where company-employed scouts contribute and exchange petroleum statistics, functioning in the traditional manner. Thanks to these companies and the scouts themselves, IOSA continues its tradition of serving the petroleum industry by publishing the "Yearbook".
